America will set up ‘Golden Dome’ with Rs. 15 lakh crores to protect against enemy missiles. Just as Israel set up a defense system called ‘Iron Dome’ to protect its people from Hamas attacks… America will set up ‘Golden Dome’ to protect against missiles from enemy countries. As part of that.. for the first time in history, it is preparing to deploy weapons in space.
President of the superpower Donald Trump made an announcement on this. He said that this ‘Golden Dome Missile Shield System’, which will cost up to 175 billion dollars (about Rs. 15 lakh crores), will be available in three years (i.e. by the end of his term). He said that approximately Rs. 2 lakh crores are being allocated for this. If the construction of Golden Dome is completed.. it will be able to stop missiles coming from the other side of the Earth and missiles launched from above. Please read other posts as well
He commented that this is crucial to America’s survival and our success. Canada is also interested in being part of this project. He said that Golden Dome is not new.. Trump reminded that Ronald Reagan proposed this type of system when he was the President of the United States. He said that he could not establish it due to the lack of such technology at that time.
Trump has entrusted the development of Golden Dome to General Michael Guttin, an officer with 30 years of experience in the Air Force Space Force. The US already has the most advanced defense systems to intercept enemy missiles, such as Patriot Missile Batteries, THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense), Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense, Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD), and Avenger. American systems effectively intercepted the advanced missiles launched by Russia in the Russia-Ukraine war. It was also American defense systems that protected Israel from Iranian missile and drone attacks.
So why this new Golden Dome proposal? How does it work? That is.. none of those details are officially available at the moment. However.. some experts say that as part of this system, directed energy systems (lasers) will have to be installed in space. Those lasers will intercept missiles heading towards America.
