Currently, there are 12,300 electric bikes in the joint district, while there are only 800 cars, while there are 256 in Kakinada district. These are going to increase day by day. Charging an electric car is a big joke. If you charge it before sleeping at night or in the morning, it will take five to six hours.
40 stations in the high-end model joint districts:
Under this scheme introduced by the central government, 80 electric charging stations are going to come up in the joint district soon. 5 in Konaseema in Kakinada district and 7 in East Godavari district. They are going to spend up to Rs. 2 crore for this. Based on the Reddy area, it has been decided to build these up to 500 kilowatt capacity so that buses, coaches and cars can be fully charged within minutes. Transco estimates that the cost of land clearing for electricity facilities will be Rs. 50 lakhs and the construction of buildings will cost up to Rs. 20 lakhs.
A tender will soon be called for those who want to avoid charging stations. Those who visit these will have to take the respective land and pay the seed. Also, up to 80 percent of the investment will come from the center as a subsidy later. It is yet to be known how much will be charged for this charging, which will eliminate the charging problems. Currently, a private EV charging station with a capacity of ) kilowatts has been started in Kakinada behind JNTU in the joint district. Here, there is charging time only for cars. Unit charging is being charged at Rs. 17.
